ತಾನು ಸಪ್ತಪದಿ ಹಾಕಿದ ಕರಾಳ ದಿನದಿಂದೊಡಗಿ
ಸಾಗರದಷ್ಟಪದಿಯ ಮೃತ್ಯುಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಂತೆ ತೊಳಲಾಡಿದುದ
ಈ ಚತುಷ್ಪದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಹೊರಟತ್ತ ಓಮಾರ

Excellent, Anil. What prompted this verse? I was just now listening to a song from Puttanna Kanagal's 'ಧರ್ಮ ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿತು’. (I do this a lot these days - search for long forgotten songs on the internet). This movie is not well known - but if you have watched this, it is a classic - a gentle but scathing expose of how women are exploited in our society. I love this song for the sarcastic beginning lines
